The tradition continues everyday at Country Club Tours Company. The Country Club Tours family of employees is proud of our history and feel the traits we “inherited” from our founders allow us to continue to offer you the best in family vacations and quality transportation.
Back in 1988, our tour brochure cover featured a picture of John T and Ruth McNelly – the founders of Country Club Tours. This same picture still hangs in the lobby of our Waynesburg facility – a reminder to all of the proud heritage of this company. John and Ruth entered the motorcoach and tour business in the late 60’s with a commitment to providing safe, convenient travel for their customers. Although the company has grown significantly in the past thirty years, that commitment has never changed. Many of the employees here to serve you today had the privilege of working for John, Ruth and their family. We still strive everyday to meet or exceed the tough standards set by the McNelly’s. Their dedication to their customers, their honesty, integrity and commitment to safety and excellence continue to be the values at the core of our operation.
To meet the changing needs of our customers, Country Club Tours made many changes over the years from our move to a new, state-of-the-art garage and sales facility in 1990 to our joining forces with Coach USA to offer you more in 1998. Through these changes the old axiom remains truer than ever – the more things change, the more they remain the same.
One of the lessons we learned from the McNelly’s is the value of dedicated employees! This is why we wanted to give you the opportunity to get to know some of our “secret weapons” a little better. The six individuals on this year’s cover have a combined 143 years in the motorcoach business and many millions of safe miles traveled. When these guys say “been there – done that” they really mean it! We thought it would be fun to ask these veterans where their dream vacation would take them. In this year’s book, they share with you their insider information. Sit back, relax and dream along.
